I have known and seen too many people who have fallen into the other three catagories :-)

my current focus, is my first car and I plan to keep it as long as I can
second car is a 98 mazda 626 that I acquired from school for $150. it had a fried timing belt and bent a couple valves. hoping to sell it now for about a $1000 profit (hell I gotta pay for college/my mods somehow, right?)

oh, just turned 18 last month....

edit: three more I am looking to get later on......I just love them so much I gotta have one some day. a jeep grand cherokee 5.9l edition (almost traded the focus for one but she backed out) a late 60's Cougar, and a late 80's (preferably) white Porsche 944 turbo.

I agree, and which is why I don't like to be lumped into the majority of people my age these days.... hell one of my good friends from college just got rid of his 08 g35x that was bought by his parents and they bought him a brand new m3! Awesome car and good for him, but I like to work my own way.

hmm I think I should mention as well....... I was only looking to get an older escort GT because that's about the amount I had saved up, but my mom offered to match what I had so I was able to get the focus (which, inevitably.......is an escort. LOL)

and I've spent some damn good time working my ass off to get this other one ready to sell.

I can say, however........ as AWESOME it is to have parents that can buy you a whole new car (read: my friends..... one has a modified Dodge Ram Daytona...... and the other an 08 WRX)
