Posted via FF MobileHmmm, are you saying that fans don`t come on with A/C on? And A/C is not operating? my recollection says there`s a relationship there. Double check A/C info sticky at page top for detailed info., my memory of another thread says that the fan comes on with A/C when compressor kicks on (does on my car), and without enough refrigerant to run compressor, or anotheer problem keeping it from running, fan won`t come on just because A/C is turned on...

Fuses, relays, Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) sensor, CHT sensor wiring, fans themselves (do they spin smoothly(?) or apply 12V directly)

Do you have a wiring diagram?

checked fuses and relays those are fine. fans spin smoothly and fans themselves do work w/ 12v direct to them..

Try putting your instrument cluster into diagnostic mode, go for a drive and see what the CHT sensor is reading.

BTW, what symptoms of overheating are you experiencing? Are you just going by the gauge reading or are you experiencing other more obvious overheating signs?

ill check that out... but just going by the gauge reading and the fact that my a/c was working just fine then as soon as the gauge started going high then the a/c started blowing out hot air and looking under the hood fans never turned on.

Posted via FF MobileIf the pigtail has power, and resistors are good, a connection to the fans and a good ground is all you need... So, test for ground at fan connector/trace back as needed.. good ground? then that "power` is just a voltage reading, no ampps to run fans, so a bad connection on that side somewhere.

This may be dumb, but it did happen to me. The 2nd fan fuse wiring went bad, burned out on the power side. I checked it with a test light, had power, then I removed it to look at it, and it was fine. Apparrently, it was burnt and barely connected, but not where you could see. placed the fuse back in, and couldn't figure out why the fans didn't work. Happen to run a test light on it later, and no power! Pulled the fuse again, noticed that it looked fine, but came out much easier...dismantled the fuse box, noticed that the wire was burnt up to the fuse connector inside the fuse box on the hot side of the fuse connection (about 1-1/2"). Repalced the wire, good to go. Did you check the relays and fuses by visual, or by test light? There should be power to the fan fuses with the ignition on. If not using a test light, try that. But then again, it sounds like you already may have done that...
