hmmm interesting input. That all sounds about right though. My gf has the focus. its a 16valve zetec I believe. We played around with straight line speed in our cars. My car when it was new made like 145 or 135 at the crank (mind you, it now has 208K mi.). Mines an AT =( Hers makes about 130 at the crank, AT as well. We pulled almost the same. She might have been a little quicker than me. But hey, I figure I didn't do too bad considering Lucys (my car) age.
