also every .1 off the sixty usually takes .2 of the 1/4. so i fhe could of cut a 1.7 60 foot which isnt something that hard it seems with slicks. that would have been a high 9s pass :)

But slicks wouldnt of been what I was working for , I have set a bar that wont be reached again easy with a Focus

what you guys are talking about is making a car that is strictly for drag that cannot be legally driven on the street. tom made this car to be driven to and from the track. it wasnt meant to be a trailer queen. sure he could have popped some slicks on there and possibly gotten into the 9s but that probably would have landed him some busted axles, tranny case, or worse. there is not point to taking your car to the track just to break it because you want better times. there is a difference between driving your car hard and abusing it. sub 2.0 60ft times = abuse unless you're RWD. tom accomplished something on STREET LEGAL TIRES that nobody else can hardly do with slicks. thats amazing to me and i still want to see a video. why oh why didnt you ever record that car?!?!
