Heated Seats, Way too hot!! Any ideas?
I have the factory heated seats on my SVT, and now that it's cold I have been using them alot.. However, they are really hot.. typically they would get hot, then cool down, and get hot again.. now they seem to just get really hot and stay that way.. I figured it was maybe I haven't used them in awhile, but with a jacket, dress shirt, and undershirt on, it was still way too hot.. my girlfriend noticed the same problem on the passenger side... Has anyone else run into this?

Every heated seat I have ever been in, never a Focus tho, has seemed too hot for me. They have to be toggled on and off, seems it would be better to have a thermostat of sorts.

Some 2003 and 2004 model-year Focus cars are fitted with heating pads that are not properly bonded to the lower seat foam, potentially leading to uneven seat heating, Ford spokesman Glenn Ray said.

"What can happen is it can become too hot," Ray said.
Might want to call the dealer and have them check for any recalls. I've seen Focuses come into the shop with the seat covers melted because of heat, but even if it's not covered, the Focus heated seat is pretty warm, I shut mine off after about 10-15 minutes.

Heated seats in TX? Really?

My wifes Ford Freestyle gets warm to the point I have to toggle the seat off before it kicks down.
Dunno if that helps at all....

mine is the same way.. i have the svt recaros in my zx3 that i hooked up and it gets so hot i have to shut if off.. so it must just be a heated seat thing..
