Seems kinda wierd that its happening with the two TB's you had so i wouldnt think another one would fix it. Have you checked your IAC?

Ok... so you somehow stripped the threads off the screws? Or did you strip out the threads in the TB?

Did you swap TB's to solve the problem?

the battery problem with the ground loosening on my battery terminal is finally fixed. however the car still runs crap at 25mph and 45mph. basically where the car is about to shift into 2nd and 3rd. it wants to try and engage early, it disengages fine 99% of the time, then i wants to engage straight after.
i finally had enough and decided to disconnect the tps cable from the tps sensor. car runs fine. i don't get it. im going to replace the tps one more time tomorrow after work. if it doesn't sort this problem out its going to the garage, they can diagnose it. if its a tranny im doomed.lol

its just something in the back of my head telling me its not the tranny, its an electrical/sensor problem

Check your owners manual for the ECU fuse. Disconect the battery, then pull the fuse for 1/2hr to clear the ECU. Then reinstall fuse and reconect battery.
i somehow missed this, but i have an xcal, the car was previously tuned.
i can reset the ecu on that, ive also disconnected the battery a lot of times too to drain it.

there is a difference between the MTX and ATX versions aswell but there look alikes

as for checking the TPS you will need a multimeter, ground the neg to the battery and tap the positive to the White wire you should get a reading of around .9 on closed throttle and around 4.4-4.7volts open throttle
(NOTE: When testing the car should be in the ON/Run position but "NOT" running)

heres a vid

Both these throttle bodies belong to ATX Zetecs
Pre 2.5 ( Slim Style )

2.5 and recent (Fat Style)
im going to try this after work
