Will an SVT Predator read OBDII codes from other makes/models?

Can I plug my SVT Predator into my minivan and get the DTC codes without screwing up my Predator?

The Predator will read most Ford products , It would hurt the predator as I have tried it on many diff Fords

Xcals dont seem to work on anything except for the focus with the specific ecu code. ive tried to use my xcal to read codes on my ranger before and it doesnt work at all. shame...

This is not true. All of our flash devices will read the dtc's of any ford obdII vehicle.

i will gladly make a video of me plugging mine into my ranger and nothing happening when i get the truck back later. my xcal2 has never worked on anything except my focus.

edit: i actually had a thought. perhaps its a blown fuse. i had this happen to me in my car once, the fuse popped and xcal no workie in focus. replace it and it works fine. perhaps this is the problem in the ranger... you know more about them than i do so if you say it works i bet its a problem on my end.

What year ranger? If the xcal does not even power then yes it could be a blown fuse but our devices are designed to read codes/strategy on any ford obdII vehicle with a few exceptions.
