Yeah, just driving on the street it feels very good. With the bushings the car has a very taut feel to it. I think it should do well. Now that the suspension is pretty much wrapped up for now, I'll go back to working on some weight savings and saving up for a LSD.

A/C, stereo speakers and the egr/pzev bits all need to go.

Interior needs work too, need some race seats and steering wheel.

The list goes on from there... Car is maybe 50% done, lots of room for improvement:)

Just picked up the car from the alignment shop, front camber is -2.75 degrees for the front and -1.75 degrees for the rear, toe is zeroed out.

Looks like a good starting point, and I should be able to make full use of the tires up front. I think I need to pick up the gear needed for doing my own alignments though. I think I can get better results then the guys at the particular shop I go to.

That's some great camber up front!
I run mine at -2.25, and it's a HUGE improvement over the non adjustable factory setup of -1 give or take.

I've done all my alignments at home for several years now.
It's nice to have the expensive tools, but I get by with a couple 1X4 jigs I made for toe measurements, and for camber it's a 24" level and 1/32" scale.
I also use a string line a couple times a season just to make sure the side to side (SAI?) settings are matching up.

So far, so good.
I've had the alignment checked a couple times (at a shop I can trust) to verify my work,
and both times the settings were right on the money where I wanted em, so I just save my money now.

Hint:
A level floor is a big help, especially for getting the camber the same side to side.

Thanks for posting up the videos, the bumps felt alot worse in the car than they look outside the car. I can see that I may have be better staying in first until the first left hand turn and shifting while braking. Other than that, pretty clean. I wasn't pushing super hard, probably due to all the bumps while going across the parking spaces. The suspension in the car feels really good tho!!! Another first place in class in FSP, but I would have to shave 2.5 seconds to get close to the rabbit that runs FSP pro.

Haha, but then I might not win FSP...:P

Not sure if I'll get the car out again this season, but I'm sure you'll have a chance to jump in the car next year.

Bringing my thread back to life here

So far, got two events in this year, first one, I drove like crap, and it rained. Overall I placed good, but got a 2nd place in FSP :( I've got some new competition in an ancient subaru, he beat me by a tenth, but I think the rain had something to do with that. Ran again recently at a Clemson event, need to work on my driving. Once I got some balls and did a section I needed to flat out, I did well.

Another thing I learned at the clemson event, I am faster with the ABS fuse in by far. Though there is the whole bias issue there. Regardless, ABS keeps me from locking up the front, so with a refresh to the brakes: stainless lines, new rear drums and shoes, and flushing out the brake system, I should be doing better in the braking department. Keep posted, I'll try to update the article once I go against the local FSP big guns. The tax return money is on its way too, time to get rid of my 1WD issues!
