IMRC Opening RPM

Anybody have a dyno of the same car with different IMRC Opening RPMs? I think I'll try 5000 at first, then maybe lower it a bit more. Thoughts?

From talking to Tom, stock setting for the DSIM (IMRC) to open is 5200 RPM, he sets them @ 4950 RPM thru tunning. I guess that the sweet spot. No dyno's to prove it tho, sorry.

The stock setting is actually 6000, and the default for alot of aftermarket tunes is 5200-5300. Thanks for the info, but be careful posting details about Tom's tunes on here, you shouldn't share specifics unless he said its fine. Figuring out what works best on the Focus is how he makes a living; we just do it for fun.

on the new tune that ford put out or the tsb for the tune i think the tune made it open at 5200-5300 or something.

Well if he posts the info on a public forum and not thru PM then I would think he doesnt mind sharing the info, I had asked him the same question. Do a search next time and you will find it.

In the ProRacer it tells you under the DSI heading that its best to set it at 5250... but most people set them a little earlier for a smoother transission.

I don't really care to. "What does Tom set it to" was not my question.

Thats what I found out, too... I set it to 5250 and noticed big dip in AFR and Load when it opened. I also tried 4800 and noticed similar results. My car really seems to like 5100-5150.

I was just trying to help you out with what I knew. Didnt like it, you could have responded in a more adult manner. That being said "Have a nice day"

Hey, no problems, if I came off "mad" or "mean" I apologize. I was sorta trying to be funny.
