[QUOTE=Rudel;1323411]Tools you will need:

Begin by using the 1/4 wratchet with the extention and T-20 torx bit and unscrew the bolt that is holding the door handle, lock, and switches.

Once that is done, pull on the face plate until it comes off. It may take some M.A.N.

Now take about 4 peices of wire, 8in each, and strip the ends about 1/4" inch, and start to twist the threaded end.

Now tin the ends of them so they will not bird-cage on you when they are pushed into the socket terminals.

For the following instructions there is no need to do any more soldering, all you have to do us snug the wire into the back of the sockets with the other wire(s). After that zip tie them so they are not all dangling around.......

On the back of the socket for the window switch do the following:

Put the ground (blue) wire into socket 1, with the Black Wire
NOTE: Passenger side is socket 4, with the Black Wire

Put the Hot (red) wire into socket 10, with the Blue/Green Wire
NOTE: Passenger side is socket 2, with the White/Green Wire

On the back of the socket for the lock switches do the following:
Put the ground (blue) wire into socket 4, which is the LED Ground.
Put the Hot (red) wire into socket 5, which is the LED 12V Supply.

And the outcome!

Here is a diagram incase you need more reference:

[QUOTE=unfknrl;1438027]Awesome write-up. I own a 2004 4dr so the wiring harness was a bit different. Here's for those who have 4 dr SVT's

Props to Rudel & unfknrl!!!!!!!! Just finished this mod, don't know if it worked yet cause it's still daylight so will have to wait until night time, if it needs more work well then thank god for drop lights! And just for the record, everything dashlight wise is green so for now it will stay that way.

Did that, worked perfect! Just 1 thing, I thought they were switched by the headlight switch? Apparently not, once the key is on so are the button lights but since they are L.E.D.'s they shouldn't burn out.

I guess my next mod will be changing the lights to red, anything to do with the dash lights. Any suggestions?

Not to jack this thread but does anyone know if the symbols and the dot on the dial light up on the power mirror control?

I had a brainfart for a moment, you had me at "power mirror control".. lol
Mine have never lit, and I've never seen mention of it anywhere so I'm assuming no.

Yea, I haven't tried to pull it apart to check but I thought I would ask.

Here's a question that does pertain to this thread, when the door is locked you see the white emblem, don't know if it's painted on or has an led option for it. Anyone?

No Ford cheap out on us. Those are painted, just like the cruise control buttons

Oh BTW: when you quote someone, it's proper forum etiquette to not quote the entire post, especially if there are lots of pictures, just remove the [IMG][/IMG] tags or any thing else that's not relevant

Thanks orange for the advice, cleaned it up a bit. I am also assuming the "white" is painted on the the lock also when it's actually locked?

I'm not too hip on just stuffing the wire into the socket and hope'n they don't fall out or worst yet they don't corrode over time and stop working.

You need to take a look at my How-to if you want to replace the LED with a different color. I took the switch apart and photographed the LED and its current limiting resistor:

Look at the last photo.
Enjoy
Hey Blaze, can this be done with the window switch led's? And if so, do you have detailed pics like the lock one?
