Pic Request: Front Seats Taken Apart
Has anyone ever taken the front seats completely apart in a zx3 or svt? I would love to see how compact a set of front seat cushions can be packed if the top, bottom and mount are separated. An accurate weight estimate would rock too.
I'm getting really serious about getting these pesky RS sparco seats from Europe. I have a place to store them until I buy a plane ticket, then if I can dismantle them into a pair of suitably large boxes, I'll pay the airline fee for extra luggage. Is this crazy?

hell no its not crazy... the stock SVT seat weigh a tun... get the RS interior.. if your lucky you can find it cheap on RS forums. and on UK ebay... and the RS interior is going to look so good with your car.

it should be as easy as 2 bolts to separate the back rest from the seat to make them fit better in a box.
the stock front seats out of my ZX3 weighed 39 lbs each

Either way, I've gotta think it's the cheapest shipping option for two front seats from the UK. My goal is to confirm the mounting brackets for the RS seats. If they are identical to the SVT ones I have, that's less weight to travel back with as I can simply reuse the ones I have or get new mounts in the States I guess. Lol, anyone have pics of the mounting hardware off the SVT seats? I'll search for some too.
