Post 60ft times on the getrag w/LSD wo/LSD

What are you guys 60ft times on the getrag?

List tires size and air PSI
LSD?
Open diff?
or anything you did to lower your 60ft.

My best 60ft was 2.30 with stock size tires at 23PSI

well i dont exactly have a getrag but my best 60ft before LSD was 2.2 on street tires at 40psi. 18x7.5 wheels with 225 45's. just lsd bumped it down to 2.0 on the same wheel and tire package. add nitrous and a borrowed set of slicks (from a civic, i know dont beat me) and you get the time in my sig. im not sure on the size of the tires. they were 9inches wide i remember that. 14psi

^^^Im working on those numbers without having to make the MTX-75 swap. LSD going in next month.

there is no reason you should not be able to get those numbers on a getrag

however i think you should be warned. getting numbers like mine come with a heavy price. be ready to break alot of stuff getting those sub 2 sec 60ft times. i'd say 1.85sec 60ft and up would be safe on a basically stock tranny. much under that you will start snapping axles, blowing motor mounts, breaking the bracket that the lower tranny mount bolts to, busting transmission cases, exploding diff's, et cetera. (i have had all of those happen to me at least once except for the busting the transmission case). i exploded the diff before i got my torsen LSD. IMO quaife and torsen are bulletproof.

Thanks, for the warning. I have blown some diffs and it sucks to be towed back to the house. Not in my SVTF but when I had a 91 Civic Hatch... lol.. I really will be happy with a 2.0/ 2.1 on street tires and make it up at the top end. I dont spray off the line, but just before I shift to second so, I hope I can get enough power to the ground without the spray off the line.

if you want that on street tires the stock wheels probably wont be good enough. you might want to look into either getting a cheap set of 15's with cheap street radials or get some wheels that are 7.5 or 8 inches wide. i widened my stock 15's to 8 inches and stuck some mickey thompsons on there. testing it at the local drag tomorrow. ill see if she hooks up and get back with ya. keep in mind im spraying out of the hole tho. only doing a 35 tomorrow.

Right now Im running a set of Nitto tires @ 20 PSI(NEO GEN 215/40/17) on the stock SVTF rims. I can feel the difference with the lower tire but do spin off the line if I push it a little. Let me know how that 15 set up works I was also considering the MT radials but wanted to do the LSD first.

well the setup i used off the civic worked well enough to break a few things at the 100ft mark. im going with the same setup that i borrowed off the civic except the tires will be 2 inches shorter and 1 inch narrower, but i have a feeling its still gonna hook just fine. and im bringing a few extra parts with me so i dont need a tow home this time

I want to lower my 60' so Im thinking about mounts first, possibly a solid rear mount. Stiffer rear springs and adjustable shocks. Hope fully that will help. Then I guess i will need more power

crap. doesnt look like im gonna be testing those new radials today. i cant find the freakin key to get the lugs off my wheels lol. im still gonna try to track down my camera and record a few passes and ill remember to keep the slips this time. im gonna run on the 18s with the new tires. they are a little different than the old tires i had, a little harder compound but my 60ft should still be in the 2.0-2.2 range. omg those heavy ass wheels are gonna slow my down on the big end. i gotta find that key!
