The SVT pre-orders ended a while back. The link now points to the '00-02.5 shifter because we used the same item number on the shopping cart.

How do you like the shifter?

So far so good. A lot easier for me to shift, especially from 4 to 5. Only downside is it's harder to get into reverse. I expected that though since the shorter the shifter, the less leverage. I haven't adjusted it too much yet. Right now it's as low as it goes. I'm very happy with it though.

The correct one is the black one with the orange button (If I remember both had orange buttons but it is definetely the black housing).
I think I may need to adjust my shifter. Seems like the shifter is stopping suddenly going into second, like it is hitting something. I've located the orange button. Just curious am I suppossed to hear a "click" or something when I press the button? Do i press it once or a few times?

Put the shifter in 4th gear and press the orange button on the black housing. Then have someone hold the shifter either to the far right or left in neutral and then press the orange button on the white housing. Not sure if you'll hear anything just make sure you're pressing the orange buttons as far down as possible and then release.

Is the CFM STS just a shorter stick or does it actually shorten the shift pattern itself with the way the shifter is constructed?

The pivot point has been changed as well as a shorter adjustable stick.

Well this thread is 3 years old, I'm guessing they're not $90 any more. Unless you want to hook us up with a group buy in honor of this thread being bumped from the dead.
