I think that has been answered by Brad White if I'm not mistaken. Do a search for warranty and see what threads com up.

Per the Magnusson-Moss Act, aftermarket parts have to be proven to have caused the problem. If the aftermarket parts caused the problem then it will void your warranty, otherwise you're good to go and if the dealer gives you a hassle, you can go to the MM website and print out or refer them to it. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

kevin, i dont me to be rude but just because i am a "focus rookie" doesnt mean i'm a complete noob. i am a member of several car clubs and forums, i have owned and modified many cars, and as i mentioned i am currently designing and building a professional drag race car. i am however a noob when it comes to brand new cars and warranties being the focus is the first car i have purchased new. i did search warranty on the site and this thread was one of the first ones that came up. again i'm sorry if this comes off as rude but being a member of a few car clubs/forums i know how frustrating it is to have actual noobs ask the redundant questions and not do a search first, and i am also aware of people who dont handle that situation well. sorry for the long response, and i have no hard feelings i hope this does not create any for you.

as for the steeda tb spacer, what do you mean it doesnt do anything? being that it does create more plenum space it should help a little, i did notice however the rifling on the inside looked rediculous. is there another company that offers one for the 09 focus?

thank you voortrek for that info.

For those who are interested here are the current horsepower and torque ratings!

2.0 Duratec 20 Engine
140 h.p. @ 6000 r.p.m.
136 lbs.-ft. torque @ 4250 r.p.m.

Note: For the 2009 model year coupes equipped with the 5-spd manual(except for those equipped with the Duratec 20E)had their horsepower increased to 143 h.p.,but torque remained the same.

2.0 Duratec 20E PZEV Engine
132 h.p. @ 6000 r.p.m.
133 lbs.-ft. torque @ 4250 r.p.m.

Note:This engine is standard on models (coupe and sedan) sold in CA,CT,MA,ME,N.Y.,PA,R.I. and VT. Available on retail orders in AZ,DE,MD,N.H.,NV,OH,OR and W.V.

Source: 2009 Ford Focus catalog

Since I bought my Focus in N.H. where the PZEV isn't mandated,I get all 143 horses in my coupe!! LOL

I think you read way too much into the post, I was just trying to recall what post and who posted the info to give you a complete answer as I remember reading a detailed expliantion about it, that's why I included Brad's name as I think he's the one that found the information. I didn't have the time to do a search myself and post a direct link to it so I figured I'd help you narrow down the threads to search and get a more complete answer as no one is going to repost everything he has already posted. Probably wouldn't have been a bad idea to make it a sticky or something, but that's up to the powers that be, hope that makes sense to you.
