SVT out of commission
on my way back from abilene today.

im cruising about 80.

i have noticed ive had weird pick up when i get on the throttle.
well anyways, a guys gets in front of me so i slow down to 70 and he gets back over and i try getting on the gas.

and the throttle response isgone, and im hardly acceelerating well, i get going and seems to go away, going about 90 then i notice a bunch of white smoke, i mean a bunch.

i end up exiting about 2 miles later. adnd come to a stop and pop the hood.

OIL EVERYWHERE. (oil pressure and temp along wth coolant temp was normal)

i lose aboue 3 quarts of oil,

whats wrong i think.


Head gasket (i know for fact is blown)
Piston rings, and cracked pistons.

it was so bad, there was oil all over my timing belt and eveyrthing thats is attached to that.
it was all over my right wheel. even on the outside.

so its at ford getting looked at.


im going car shopping wednesday cause for them to o all that work im lookng close to 1700.
i owe 1700 on the car.
so my plan is going to kep paying it off while it sits.
and im going to go get a different car this week.

suggestions?

MS3, VWr32, WRX, EVO, STI.

any other suggestions on cars?

(i wok for a subaru dealership, employee discount ) but its not that much of a discount, and i want used.

right next to us is a mazda dealer/

A friend of Mine has the MS3 and just frickin' LOVES IT. It's a blast to drive, IMO.

But I have always been a fan of the EVO8...

And the STi is a standalone bombshell, too.

In short, I wouldn't want to have to make that decision...

yeah thats what im debating, hopefully ford will call me tomorrow and tell me some decent news, then i am going to have to take out a loan to get the car fixed. and i might as well build the car.
