wow this is an old old thread. islandfocus said Dtec04 got into the 1.7-1.8 60ft with 24.5x8.5x15 slicks. you guys must be doing something wrong to be having that much trouble or you are spinning like hell. i put down close to that with 20x7.5x16 bf goodrich street slicks. i think what you guys are doing is getting carried away in the wet box. if you heat the tires too much little grease spots will form on the rubber making it slippery. just give them a quick hazing and be done. notice i said hazing not smoking. also dropping your tire pressure too low can do more harm than good. ive found that with my setup 16psi works best.

NO MY SIG ISNT ACCURATE! my times are secret until FocusFest. ill update it after because i want that fastest forced induction award!

Looks like you and me will be going at it for the forced induction award and im already in the 1.8 60ft on dragradials and im getting some slicks so we will see :)

EDIT: forgot to ask if you're bringing spare axles? im thinking ill pull my car out and throw an extra set of axles in the back just to be safe
