2003 SVT Focus Oil Pan Replacement

Hi,

My oil pan is rusted and requires it to be replaced. I ordered a part off RockAuto.com (DORMAN Part # 264027) but my garage told me this is only for the standard Focus and not the SVT. After further research, the Dorman site seems to concur.

Been searching to try and find the part online but have been unsuccessful thus far. Is anyone aware of somewhere that sells them? I would prefer to steer clear of the main Ford dealers if I can.

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
James

Merged your 2 threads, and moved to the SVT Owners Lounge.
(FocusFanatics does not condone posting multiple threads on the same topic. Thank you)

BTW, b16sir1991 does work at a Ford Dealer, and can get parts at a price I'm sure you'd be very happy with.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Ok, so spoke to my mechanic and he tells me that there is there 2 pan parts - 'an aluminum part and a removable metal part'. He says that I ordered the aluminum part which didn't need replacing but the metal part does.

Does this make sense?

Yes, that makes perfect sense.
You want the metal pan.

I'd suggest calling Mike at Hilbish Motors. (b16sir1991)
He is a vendor on this site, and has his own forums:

NOTE!
Calling him will get much quicker results than posting a thread or sending him a PM.
