Any advice on bumper support when the front fender liners are gone?

You mean, at the front/bottom mount for the liner, underneath the sidemarker light?
^^^That's about the only place I can think of where the liner might add support to the bumper cover.
You could make a small support strap (1" X however long) out of sheet metal and tie it into the front frame horn.

I'm gonna try to keep my fender liners intact ( mostly). i haven't rolled mine yet, gonna roll as little as possible when i do finale fitment.
if ya don't want to modify your fender you could always try a 215/40/17, a little small for SM, but what the hay it won't rub or you could run a 15x7 or 7 1/2 rota and 225/50/15's or 225/45/15's just a thought

I'd love some slipstreams, but I have a set of SVT 5 spokes for 60 bucks. hard to pass up.

I had "planned" on a 215/45/17 NT-01. EBAY has some sportmax's from time to time in 17x8 +38mm... once I ahve the cash, I'll snag em, and powdercoat the 5 spokes a metallic black for a summer/thrashing set.

Ive confirmed the bolt pattern. waiting to hear about the width. would be a nice set for autox. weight pending, but good price. they're usually buy it now for that price. I've seen em in bronze too. Look like 5Zigen Knock-Offs.

Would look nice with a 245/40/17 NT-01 eh?

yes, right at the bottom of bumper where the fender liner connects.. I think if i get a new one for the driverside, I can get creative with it.
