Tim you made a good choice in engines for a budget build. You're right the 5.0 engines are only good for about 500hp. With the removal of the trans axle I'm sure you'll have less weight in the front.

I was refering to which chevy motor you were using... I had a couple of 5.3 and I was never impressed with any of them.

If you want to go Chevy thats fine but there are just better choices.... reguardless it'll still be FUN!!!

yeah there are better chevy motors for sure. i would have loved to have afforded a 6.0 or a cast 427 lsx. but for the price and the power it can make once it is built i will be more than happy with that in a little fungus.

ordered a complete 8.8 out of mustang gt. comes with 4 link, calipers, rotors, lines, locker, etc. $650

pics as soon as i get it in.
