What sorts of problems has your Focus experienced?

I've had many issues ... But I still love my SVT ...

The costs have been well over the Thousands and has put me in a bind once or twice ... but one thing is for sure ... when you fix an issue ... and takes a long time to go out again. I didn't go through fixes til I hit 125,000 miles ... so it was time to start fixing the usual (Brakes, tranny, clutch, tie-rods, cv joints, shift-linkage, engine flooding, ecu, intake, header replacement*pothole*, wheels galore, tires ... etc etc.)

And I Still love the Car.

apart from the thermostat crank housing leaking coolant due to a crack i havent had any problems

On my 05 ST the back rear door speakers blew up twice under warranty Then they went again a third time. SO I replaced them with some polk audios. I guess I was kickin the beats to hard. Other than that nothing wrong at all ...

Nothing bad...a wheel bearing, brakes. When its real cold outside its hard to get into gears from time to time. But i've heard thats just the fluids being cold.

Leaking thermostat housing, noising front sway bar links, broken front springs and difficult shifting into 2nd gear.

i have a brand new car but my friend all she has done is change the oil, tiers, and brakes (the rotors when she went metal to metal)

A Ford focus 2009 model was just purchased for me. It almost feels like a car without power steering. It's unresponsive when I turn the wheel and does not have a good car feel to it. I test drove several foreign cars that drove much better. The focus feels kind of like its in between not having power steering and having it. Its hard to turn the wheel compared to other cars and not at all a pleasure to drive. I would never have spent my money on this car. I'm very disppointed in it.

vacuum leak - replaced hose (very easy)
fuel pump - replaced pump (not fun)
ignition cylinder - removed tumblers (pretty easy)
assorted hoses - replaced (easy)
valve cover gasket - replaced (easy)

Couldn't you tell that when you test drove it? Some people actually like to know what is going on in the real world? Buy some big old Caddy and plow through.
