any one know the amp and volts required? WHat is the GT button. will a 3 amp- 250 volt AC momentary button work? and what would you feel about throwing a toggle switch inline with one of the wires. i already have my radar detector hard wired in with a red Jet fighter style safety toggle switch. and i think another used inline of the push button would look nice and make for a nice little ;) wow factor. which line would i put it and and do you think it'd power the car off if i kill the switch?

SM17 as for your race car. You can eliminate the pats by hiding the ignition under te dash with your key taped to the outside then run 12v to a toggle and the other side hook your acc and the same for your ign wire then you can run your start button. I used to have this on on of my other cars

Expensive but I do think it would work just fine!

i wired my momentary switch with one wire going to the solid red wire and the other wire going to the grey w/ black tracer wire and i did not cut either one as the key will still start it.
The problem i am having is the momentary switch will no start the car when the key is in the "on" position.

I know this i dumb of me but if I buy a switch from radioshack and get it in and it works how would i turn the car off? Also I would be doing the gray wire cut so the button would only work.

the start button is only used to activate that starter. same as if you turn the key all the way to start it. beyond that it's still powered by the ignition switch and will turn off with the key
