I have raced one in the 1/4, I had him off the line and about to the 1/8 but then he was gone. If this guy was racing he would have pulled ahead. We don't have the top end, especially in 5th, he should have dropped into third going 70

I bet with bolt on mods to a 2.3L focus you could be beating a stock RX8 in the 1/4...
Mazda RX-8 GT - R2 1.3L (238 hp) 6M + ABS
0-60->6.62
1/4->15.15 @ 94.40mph from MSN

Road and track had this 0-60 mph: RX8-> 6.0 sec 350Z->5.5 sec
0-1320 ft (1/4): RX8-> 15.0 sec @ 96.0 mph 350z->14.0 sec @ 102.1mph

The SVT Focus does not top out at 135, im not sure what u mean but its just power limited. The car creeps in 5th but it doesnt just completely stop.

Jackass, I never said the RX8 was quicker. Oh my god, a car that costs $8000 more than an RX8 and has over twice the engine displacement actually beat it in 0-60 by a whole second. Damn that's so impressive I just sh**t my pants. I was pointing out that the RX8 is a much better all around car for considerably less money. If you want to spend 35000 for a car that has a 3.5 liter V6 and a whole 260 (wow, 260, really? WOW!!), that's your own damn fault, I cant stop you from wasting your money. The old 300s were slow, heavy, poor handling, overpriced pieces of crap, yes even the almighty twin turbos. Who the [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] are you going to impress with a 3.5 liter V6? NOBODY!! For maybe $2000 more than a 350, you can buy a brand new cobra with a 4.6 liter dual overhead cam V8, an eaton supercharger, 390 horsepower, a tremec six speed transmission, and a hell of a lot more balls than a damn 350. Other than styling and hype, there's really not a whole lot else you get for your 35000. The 350 puts up awesomely marginal numbers, thanks to a wonderfully bland drivetrain and okay handling. Just like the old 300s, they cant do jack unless you throw two big ass turbos and a sh**tload of engine work at them. And that's after you pay $35K.
