Ok this is one of my first posts, and no I don't even have a focus. I HAD a turbocharged ford escort for a time which i took apart when i got married and moved to a village in Alaska for 9 months (short term job opportunity). I purchased some stuff from him on a escort forum about a month before I came back to Portland as i was getting anxious to get another build started. (This was just over a year ago now, as seen by the dates on the following link)

I would be fordboy4ever and as you can tell i was really excited to get this stuff. My two biggest downfalls were 1 not demanding pictures for things i asked about and 2 not being able to see the stuff for a month after it was delivered. I asked him if it was watercooled as I already have a smaller watercooled turbo and I am not itching for bent rods so bad i want to deal with a non watercooled turbo. He told me it was watercooled (of which it is not). You can see in his description he lists it as...

Used 2 months Turbonetics T3/T4 (no shaft play)

after the turbo has been a shelf ornament the last year i took it off to snap these pictures to show his "no shaft play" he spoke of (pardon the crappy camera):





(In his defense this is a journal bearing turbo that has not been run in a year so there will naturally be some shaft play, but 25/1000ths?)

Then it comes to the manifold i purchased. Here is what he said about that...

Brand new BPT turbo header made for Miata (had flange flipped around and welded by local hot rod shop .It would mount turbo below curved polished pipes perfect for scort or protégé applications)

and to pictures of the "perfect" fit he speaks of, keeping in mind these don’t even show how "perfectly" the wastegate DOES NOT FIT because the outlet off the water pump is in the way:

yes the flange is flat, probably all the brilliant guys at the "rod shop" were even looking at, who cares if it doesn’t go over the studs it will lay flat against the head, that’s all that is important right?



And the icing bringing the layers of the shi… crap cake together, this comment:

this post doesn’t include the non-fitment of the wastegate as it didn’t fit for its photo opp.

I sent him one email when all this started coming out (about 2-3 weeks ago), yes i was probably harsh, but realistically all of this is better served as cup holders and paperweights, should have NEVER been sold... HE should have been the one to scrap all this crap; at the VERY least he should have advertised its true condition. This was 565 US dollars flushed down the toilet, right now I’m accepting an offer for 300 dollars shipped for all this crap, nothing like wiping my ass with 300 dollars for metal sitting on a shelf. No I never got a response back from him.

Better late than never, to why I’m here. His email in Google pulled up an ad where he was buying something from someone on here; I guess he is an SVTF owner. I just feel its something that would be good for EVERYONE to know who might do business with him, you have been warned.
