HALP with installing lower rear motor mount... AHHHH!!!

Okay got the mount today from mike... was real excited b/c everyone said ~15 min install....

AHHH... problems.... the stock bolts are too big, they wont fir through the Steeda mount... Also no matter how hard i try I cannot get the trans/motor side of the mount in and lined up right!!!

Any tips/suggestions on how to get these suckers in there and more important what to do about the bolt being too big???

I've never heard of the bolts ever being too big.

As for lining it up, use a really large screw driver, or a crowbar, and carefully pry the engine/trans forward to get the bolt holes to line up.

wow...im sorry man, that sounds weird...you think ford changed the size of the bolts for the mounts? maybe you just need a different mount itself, with the bushings in it?

Why not take the bolts to Home Depot and see if they have bolts that will fit?

yes... smaller bolts wont thread into the mounting locations on the car...

The steeda mount holes are about one size too small for the bolts to pass through and hold them on

Sometimes this happens especially when you have a new run of car. If you send me the mount back, ill redrill the mount inserts to fit your car at no charge to you and ill pay the shipping back. At least we will all know about this and ill have to redrill the bushing inserts for the 2008 cars.
