Holy, holy, HOLY CRAP!

What an event! Wheel to wheel with 78 cars on a 1-mile road course -nuts! Not as bad as the tiny bullring events like Altamont - the organizers seem to be making a major effort to stomp out any demo-derby aspect of the event.

CMP West was just about perfect - some real roadrace turns with some real overtaking possibilities.

I'm *still* burnt out - I'll try to post a real report later - here's some local NC and SC press we got, and some pictures:

Oh - and here's a less-lucky e30 getting the People's Curse:

That's what you get for bringing a Spec e30 racer, then throwing inside dive-bomb passes on everyone at every corner. They *sooo* wanted to get that built i-motor out, but you only get 30min to strip the car when your number comes up - ha!

behold the almighty plasma cutter. or at least thats what i'd use. jsut cut the mounts off,lol.
