svt struts?

will svt struts and shocks fit on a non svt zx5?...reason I ask is that there are perf. struts for sale but say "except svt" so are they that different when being installed?

also what are the better strut/shock combos to get and what have you heard on which is the better out there????as a daily driver too....

I have installed an SVT suspension kit on my Focus SE. You should have no problem with the ZX5 either AFAIK the kit fits everything but the wagon. I don't believe you can just install the struts though, you will have to get springs as well. And if you just do the front then the rear will be 3/4" higher then the front as the SVT suspension is a mild drop.

Anytime! I picked up the whole SVT kit from a dealership in Vancouver (http://www.brownbrosford.com/), even after shipping it was cheaper then the dealerships in my area. The kit includes everything you need (assuming you have the mounting hardware for the rear sway bar on your car already) including: Front struts and springs, rear shocks and springs, and rear sway bar.

I don't have any experience with any others so I can't really recommend any. I know there are a number of brands which guys on here do like.

the eiback pro-kit is great.... the kyb agx's are awsome b/c they are adjustable but if its just a dd and you aren't doing any serious auto-x or anything not really necessary in my opinion. Toikico also makes a set (JRP.com, a canadian company) but i have heard those are a little bouncy. Koni also makes an awsome set but again kind of expensive....

ZX5 and ZX3 are the same platform as the SVT. The SVT dampers and springs are bolt on upgrades. Same should be for other aftermarket. The SVT differences that will cause issue revolve around the brakes, stereo, and engine.
