EGR question on a turboed zetec

I know this has been asked before, but I need some clarification. I'm in the process of installing/test fitting my turbo kit thing. I can get away with removing the EGR as long as I let my tuner know, right? If so, is there a write-up somewhere, or how do I go about doing this properly? Any info is appreciated, thanks.

Yes loose it , It isnt needed for what your doing , Plug the EGR tube to the intake with a plate , then turn it off in the tune so your light wont come on

So what all do I have to unplug/take out? I'm kind of unsure about all the components of this EGR system. This might be a bit much to ask, but since I'm a visual person, would anybody be willing/able to show me on this picture what I need to unplug?

that ufo looking disc with the hose coming out the top...rip all that out including the egr pipe and make a block plate that will go against the open hole (flange coming off of the intake). I'm not sure about the dpfe sensor. Can that be unplugged and removed as well, or do the hoses stay on but get plugged?

Good information just keep in mind that your car will fail the OBD readiness test if that is required for emission testing in your area.

Thanks for the heads up, but without a cat--which I've been for a couple years now--I would fail as well. I have my resources for passing inspection, hahaha.

What about those two lines coming from the EGR pipe that are connected to the sensor on the firewall, do those need removed as well? One of them looks to be a vacuum line to the throttle body or something.
