How important is the cat support bracket (OEM exhaust, track car)??
Anyone run their SVTF without the factory support bracket for the cat? I got the exhaust all sorted and installed, but there is no cat support bracket on this car.
Since this car will see track duty, I don't want to fatigue crack the headers from the cat weight being supported by the headers. I am worried about running without the support installed. It should also help keep the rear O2 sensor off the axle. Anyone have data, especially track data on this? Or better yet, anyone got a cat bracket laying around they want to get rid of? I'd like to have that support for track duty. TIA |
