Think I could pry the front off and make a faux headunit to cover my dvd nav unit? Mine is double din, this is 1.8din or something, though.

Hi,

You're exactly right, the actual opening in the Focus is large enough for most double-din systems, but its technically not double din, but 1.75-1.8 exactly as you quoted.

That out of the way, what you want to do is exactly what I mentioned it would be good for, you can see an example here (Please note that this is NOT my image, found it in a different forum.)

Yeah I saw the thread but didn't see anything specific about covering a double din screen. Once my unit comes I will see how it fits and if it's not sold yet I will probably grab it.
