Ok I got a question, where can you buy a new SVT cat(I guess I could buy a used one for cheap, but I wont know if its in working order) and how much, I can find the RT high flow for $299+ shipping, but I was thinking, since Im staying NA, the SVT cat would be fine, plus it may save me a little cash, dont know though.

Also great write up, this answered a lot of questions I had.

Ok never mind, I found a Ford OEM Cat sales website but they are charging around $450 , I think even if I could find a cheaper new SVT OEM cat, the price difference between a RT high flow and the OEM would be negligible and I would probably get more performance out of a RT HF cat.

That was going to be my suggestion

Send Mike a PM (b16sir1991). He can get you the price on the SVT cat. I would still recommend just getting the high flow though. Every little bit of flow counts...well, until the head is out-flowed.

Hey guys,

Has anyone installed the SVT header set-up on a sedan? I have an '03 ZTS sedan that I have just recently installed a Magnaflow cat back on. I'm really wanting to do the header swap, but have learned that exhaust parts for the Focus sedans aren't quite as common. Will the cat back make up this difference / will I be alright with the header, flex pipe, and RT high flow cat?

Thanks,

Spanky

I have this on my sedan. Basically the only part that really is different is the cat-back part. The Flex pipe, Cat, and Header are the same on Foci with Zetec Engines. What you may want to consider is a resonated cat-back. I have the Magnaflow Cat-back and put the SVT Header on with a Hi-Flow Cat and it sounded like a can of pissed off bees from miles away.

lildisco,

That's awesome that you've done this to your car, especially with the Magnaflow! I must admit, as much as I love Magnaflow, I'm not completely thrilled with the sound of the cat-back. It's ok, but I was still hoping for something a little less farty.

So are you happy with the sound now? Is it similar at all to the real SVT sound? Which exhaust would you recommend? Any other advice would be great!

Thanks

Spanky
