It was cheap and easy to make $3 for the 1/4" turnbuckle from Ace hardware plus $.11 for a 1/4" nut to lock it. Cut/weld/clamp done! Keeping the small pieces aligned in the vice was the only pain, but that's it. Here's my thread with more pics: DIY: Adjustable wastegate actuator

I haven't been back to have it dyno'd since I fixed the boost flutter.
The tune is fine, and it's a 3+ hour drive back to the dyno. I'm curious myself, but can't justify spending the $ just to get the #s. If there's a local group dyno sometime this year I might go and I'll definitely post up the chart.

I've started laying out my plans for Spring.
1) I'm going to hook my PCV system back up. A funky water/oil gunk mix is building up in my crankcase and valve cover areas. Water vapor is one of the key things extracted by the PCV system, but since mine is completely disconnected I no longer have a vacuum to pull out that junk. The oil catch can fills with water and a that milky oil/water vapor mix. No actual oil though. I fear this milky building will eventually block vital oil passages. Aside from that, I'm tired of smelling hot oil from the catch can breather when I used the heater. 2) Reroute the ambient pipe. I have yet to drag the pipe on anything, but it's just been one of those things I feel I could have done better. The new pipe will be routed across the top of the turbo. 3) Clutch. I'm leaning towards the Exedy OEM replacement clutch/flywheel combo. (Part # FS107 from www.FocusSport.com) Randy has really praised it's performance on their turbo ST at the road course, and that's more punishment then I'll put on it. I have more time to decide on the clutch though. 4) Poly mounts. I'm not sure of this yet. We have our first baby on the way and he comes before car parts. :) I've had poly tranny mount inserts since before the turbo. 5) Trailor hitch. I know it has nothing to do with a turbo but it's a modification. :) A huge thanks to Don at LaSota Racing in Columbus, OH for my tune. Don did an excellent job with the SCT tune, and his customer service is top notch. Any and all questions I had he answered quickly.

Nope. I'll post when/if I ever do get it dynoed. :)
It runs great and that's all I'm concerned with.

Does LaSota do any custom fabrication work in addition to tuning?

Just give them a call. They're very personable people and will probably tell you of a place local that does do fab work if they can't.

My new clutch has arrived!
Exedy Stage 2 with lightweight flywheel. This is the smallest clutch I've ever seen. ![]()
