ow and scrammer I love how you have added that to your sig. I was on another thread and could not help but laugh, I do understand some people just don't get the point. I also think this thread needs to become one of the holy "Read first threads". I think it has more than earned a spot. Just my opinion.

Just my opinion.

It is linked in this "Read First" thread:
"How To" and "Infomation" Links (updated 02/14/07)
^^^Hmmm.
It's about time I updated that thread isn't it...

The goal isn't to have tons of "stickies" at the top of each forum.
The more you have, the more people tend to ignore them.

If you remind me (send a PM) I'll see if I can get a suggestion thread going for what to add/update to the current How To and Information thread.
Thanks.

well, removed it. twisted the bolt smooth in half! very soft metal! wasn't giving me trouble either, just seemed to be turning out. was using very little force (i was using a 1/4" drive socket wrench!) guess this is a permanent mod. good thing i like it!

Pretty bizzare eh?
Funny thing is, this isn't the only one of my threads that lost posts/images.
Check this one:
http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=127039
It's missing an entire first page of posts...you come into it about 1/2 way through it now.
The only thing I can think of, is I've exceeded the maximum limit on attachments,
and as I add new ones, the forum is randomly deleting old ones.

Yes...I hope to find a fix soon!
I'll have to link from elsewhere (versus direct upload) till I get it figured out.

OK....back on topic...

Hi! I´ve removed my counterweight 20 minutes ago and went to a spin.

Honestly, I was very disapointed. I didn´t noticed any difference in shifts other than more imprecise.

Everybody loved about how much smooth it makes but I really didn´t see nothing of that. Maybe I didn´t do it right? Looking for WD40´s pictures that exactly the pieces that I took...

Anybody experience this kind of feeling?

I have a post in here somewhere from when I removed the counter weight. I hated the feel, I thought it felt like crap. Took it for about a 15 minute drive, and put it right back on. I thought it felt so much smoother and went into gear nicer with it on.
We all have different opinions on it though, mine was bad, other people I know liked it.
I gotta admit though, my buddy Brians car (HTPerformance), he had the counter weight removed, a very short shifter, and a RX8 shift knob, and I thought it was the nicest shift feeling I ever felt. Weird.
