each car will do differently with different brands of slicks.
are you looking for one for strickly all out, or one that is still considered street legal? all depends what class you want to run in.
best thing to do is ask around at the local track your going to run and see what people are using. each track can have its tire quirks too as to what tire works there.

Well, that conversation has already been brought up and explained or discussed in full detail....therefore, lets stay in topic, the proper modifications in order to get some good launches and times on the drag strip.
Thnx

If I'm not mistaken, that thread was all about drag strip launches in a focus. Maybe someone else who has 60ft'd better than a 1.80 in a FWD Focus will chime in for you...

Well, you want to put more weight on the front of the car thats for sure.
Something else that helps is all three motor mounts, and a ingalls stiffy. It make your cabin a bit noisy, but it eliminates a lot of wheel hop. I dont know who makes them but there are some kind of traction bars out there. Sean Hyland had some at one time, but I never looked into it. Good luck!

i know srt-4's do this.....

after jacking up the rearend of the car at the track, stick some spring rubber inbetween the different coils. This will raise the rear end up and prevent weight transfer to the rear. This is just a temporary way to help wheelhop and traction while getting mounts, traction bars up front, better tires and rims, etc.

I "think" it was Lakewood that made traction bars for the ZX3 but I dont recall seeing any for the SVT.
