Yeah I do think this thread needs to get locked because we can't be mature about things.

Now theres a thread where those that have run both can express thier opinions..... without any biasness.

Lets try and keep this thead an informative piece of literature that encompases ALL aspects of adding forced induction to your Focus. Not a debate on which is better and why. Ok?

Just for the record, I switched from a Vortech Supercharger to a turbo on my hatch. You'll get a writeup on it as soon as I finish building my car.

How is my reply being perceived as a debate?

It's thick with sarcasm, that's how.

It was just a warning before it got out of hand, not just to you, to everyone. Your post just happened to be the one that will get the ball rolling.

I have been a FF member in good standing for over 2 years now, read the rules on posting, never been warned about crossing the line, contributed my share of positive information, & spent thousands of dollars from FF vendors. Like most of the members here I can deal with another members disagreement to my opinions, being called names & being critisized about my spelling, but to be labeled as uneducated, posting uneducated misconceptions, & posting utter bullshit by one of your moderators was embarrassing, humiliating & degrading putting my mechanical/technical knowledge in question knowing it can be seen by thousands of people visiting this site. Now your warning me that my post is thick with sarcasm? If the warning was directed toward everyone, why is the quote box on with my Label? If you need times, dates & threads of the insulting responces which can STILL be seen by everyone I can provide them OR if I'm wrong and/or making a big deal out of nothing, then give me my first strike & I will move on.

Why do people get bent out of shape when it comes to Turbos vs Superchargers .......were some of you involved in developing them, LOL? I had a Vortech V-9 powered Focus running about 10-11psi and made about 190whp and 163tq. Granted it was never dyno tuned for maximum performance, it was a pretty fun car to drive. I now have a built engine and switching to a Xios based turbo kit and here are some of the reasons I decided to switch:

1. Adjustability of boost
2. NO MORE BELT ISSUES!!!
3. More torque than a supercharger
4. More horsepower potential than the supercharger I HAD
5. Full boost throughout more of the rpm range

Those are all the reasons I can think of right now but I'll post some more when they come to mind
