iunno...my car gets up there pretty quick with the same mods (sri in place of CAI) and a tune...mabey i have a freak engine.

i had my intake and i *think* the svt headers/flex and orp when i raced him...but i dont remember exactly...although, id like to think i could kill that camaro by now!

i can def tell u that on the high end the stang will probably pull. my mom has an 02 convertable, so it weighs even more than a hard top and i have taken hers up to the limiter and it seems like it still wants more HARD!!!!!

i swear we had this same debate in October. I have a 07 ZX3 MTX, and my mom has a 01 Mustang V6 5-speed convertible. Driven both regularly. The Mustang has torque off the line. Using both of our cars ... we would have a race. I would think the Mustang by 1/2 a car length. IF the Mustang was an auto, it would be an easy win for the Focus. The 4 speed in the Mustang is a POS. Auto V6 Mustangs are no fun, slow as hell. Truck engine + dated tranny = no fun

You could beat a 04 and previous, but no way for an 05+ v6, at least a manual. The 05+ stangs are quite a bit quicker than the previous gen v6.
I drove an 05 v6 mt for two weeks last summer on a trip and it was definately faster than my 07 mtx fofo hatch. The fofo handle better though...


I need to have a friend come over and drive my 93 tbird(HO5.0) so I can run my fofo against it...seat of the pants they seem pretty even.
