AC water coming in the passenger side

Hi Guys

I have Focus 1.6L model 2005 hatchback. The problem is that most probably the AC water is coming in the cabin on passenger side. Because of this water the carpet is getting wet.

I have tried to give pressurized air in the pipe which drops the AC water on the ground, thinking that it might not be clogged. While switching on the AC I don’t see the water droplets coming on the road. This makes me think that the AC pipe is blocked.

The coolant level is not going down at all..

I shall be grateful if someone can guide me as how to get rid of this problem. Any DIY on this problem? Attached please find the pics and the location through which one can see the water finally dipping on the passenger side carpet

its not your AC... this is a known problem in the focus. You need to reseal the plastic cowl under the passenger side wiper...

Thank you so much for your prompt replies. Any idea as how to seal the plastic cowl under the front screen wipers, specially the passenger side. Mine is little bit loose and can be moved with the touch of the finger.
The question is where exactly we have to seal the cowl. We have to remove it first or just seal the borders in between the windshield and the cowl

Remove the passenger side windshield cowl. Don't forget the screw that is under the little black tab in the middle of the cowl. No need to remove the drivers side cowl.
The water is getting in through your "cabin air filter" on the passenger side of the car. The actual paper filter may or may not be there. You can clearly see how water rolling down the windshield will get into the filter. This is why it has to be sealed. The drivers side cowl is actually not sealed at all.
Clean the cowl where the previous sealant was. Also clean the windshield.
Put a strip of the new butyl tape or some sealant on the cowl (not on the windshield) and make sure it seats.
Put the cowl back on and press on the butyl tape to get it sealed.

I wanted to say thanks to all of you who have contributed in getting my problem solved. I have opened the plastic cowl and clearly notice that the water was going through the AC air filter. Have also changed the filter as it was very dirty and have sealed the plastic cowl with the wind shield. Now for the last 3 days not a single drop of water is coming in the passenger side carpet.
Bless you all
