SVT should pull a V6 stang hard, from a roll atleast. He'll jump a couple cars on your till you're outta first, then ya gotta reel him in.

My ZX2 puts a beatin' on v6 stangs, buses and buses...it's only slightly modded...

if the v6 is mated to the auto and stock you have more than a chance now if it is a stick then you better be carefully. The auto's suck alot more power than you think on the mustang compared to a standard one. A standard one is almost 2 seconds quicker than its auto cousin. of course though you also have a system with a big ole' heavy 12" in the trunks and thats going against you wieght affects our cars greatly.

^^of course you have a manual and I'm pretty sure most of those stangs were auto's or if they were standard then they did know how to drive and its getting pretty rare to find a 5 speed stang. Our cars are much better with the standard tranny too just like the stang

I think also it depends on how bad the engine of the mustang is, I mean probably 10 years of difference between engines may be a factor also. Anyways, my car is freaking slow, I have K&N cai, f2 step header, 2.5 exhaust and I still get beaten by jettas, mustangs, and even other focus that appear to be stock!!! I hate having an ATX but I'm just to lazy to deal with city traffic on a manual tranny, probably my car is lazy aswell, it just won't go fast.

Oh I forgot to mention but I'm not Mexican, I have that avatar on my profile because as you may know, most foci are made in Mexico, or at least mine was. Also the Duratec engine and most of its components were engineered in Chihuahua, a Mexican state. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Duratec_engine

But I guess you are right, it's a lazy mexiCAN engine lol.

I hunt V6 Mustangs and Camaros in my spare time... But deer tastes better.

Give it a shot, you might be that much of a better driver. But you would be better off with an intake and short throw shifter.

same with me and a camaro just like that ^ but we started from a complete stop. i got a half car pull at launch and he got ahead, but by like 1/4 of a car (if thats what its called...my front bumper was at the back of his door) and couldnt pull further...bummer for me, almost had him!

he was in the car with his girl...i bet he wouldve cried if he lost to a focus! next time, he will!!
