From what I remember the SVT did a best of mid 1.90`s and the ZX3 did a best on high 2.0`s both on BFG G-Force drag radials

I dont take my engine much past about 2800 to 3000 to launch a little common sence has to be used anything can be tore up and broken, I have been to well over 50 Fun Ford Weekends and seen many 300+HP Foci in the Focus class and never not one time was there a broken axle as well as have built over 100 300HP+ cars with out any breaking axles to date in the last 7 years

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Honestly I was expecting to hear some better 60ft times than just 1.9 -2.1 from cars with 300 plus whp. Why were you only running BFG Drag Radials instead of a full slick? Have you ever tried either car on slicks?

Just because a car put down 300 plus whp doesn't mean that they're taking their cars to the drag strip and running them to there full potential. If you can say for a fact that some of those cars were run at the drag strip on a real tire, pulling 1.7x 60fts or better, manual trans, and not breaking stock axles, then I would see your point. Otherwise dyno numbers, street miles, and slippery 60ft's don't prove the strength of the stock axles. Even stock hp rear wheel drive cars like Mustangs need to upgrade their axles when running on slicks with red line launches.

It sounds like with that power, a Lentech, and a trans break you should of been able to really pull some good launches. What stopped you from at least getting out of the 2.x 60fts?

Launching off the two-step at about 5000rpms and a couple psi of boost. I don't understand what the problem with that is. Every other front wheel drive drag car does the same. If you want to get the best ET possible out of your combo then your going to have to drive it to its full potential.

A set of full billet 300M alloy steel axles are going into the car. So, I guess we'll find out the breaking point of the MTX when it comes to launching. Its already got a quaife in it so I doubt the differential will break. If anything the gears and shafts are going to have to be treated if they end up breaking.
