Stock Races are always the best because if you have to matched up cars or foci for example it's all driver skill.

stock car + good driver = pwnage at bracket racing. When I first took this car to the track, I got in on the bracket racing and won the street class no problem.
Now in a straight up race, I obviously couldnt take a supercharged vette or something...but in a bracket race...I can. :)

I started out on the track with mine first day I got it on 30 day tags. Best run then was a 16.5. Started to do stuff to the car so everytime I put something on I took it to the track. Best 1/4 time I got was a 13.5 and never had a single problem on the track

i voted yes... because it's good for when you mod. then you have a baseline to compare to. also, you'll get some practice.

i've never raced my car...but at the track ive seen civics and other 4 bangers running 17's & 18's which means they are either reallly bad drivers, or pretty much stock. Hell, I know I've always been curious as to what my ATX focus would run... but I'd never race it and risk f'n it up.
If you wanna try it, try it. Any real car enthusiast will respect the fact that you are there to experience the sport and have fun, not try to beat 12 second cars.

I like running my stock. So that when you beat out a civ or something like that and ask what the $#%^ are you running you can honestly say not a $%#^ thing.
