I just aked my window tint guy (a professional tinter, not a friend) when I was getting my sisters windows tinted what he recommended, he said anything, I even asked him about the amonia in cleaners and he said not to worry about it, his tint has a life time warrantee so hey if mine comes off I'm taking it back to him. I have yet to have any problems using regular windex

The problem with amonia cleaners isnt that it takes the tint off, its that it makes it super cloudy and hard to see out of.

Amonia wont take tint off, that would take a finger of God lol.

Check out this link, just going from previous research, it might not, but I still am weary of using amonia products, but my windex works great. LOL

Just had one car re-tinted and asked the installer what he recommended. He's been doing tint for 14 years. He said Invisible Glass by stoner, the aerosol kind not the pump spray.

^^^ Right on. There are several "tint -safe" cleaners out there that do not contain ammonia, so why take the risk. And yes, it will cloud the tint after several years of use.

BINGO....any ammonia-free glass cleaner wil work. There are several on the market. I also prefer to use a nice soft microfiber rag as opposed to paper towels, newspapers, etc. I've had tint on my cars for years and never had a problem.

use pledge. the tint shop that i have gotten my windows tinted at on all our cars recommends pledge. i have had no problems with it either.

The pump bottle version of invisible glass works just fine for me...
