I thought I would ressurect this thread.
I am reading "One Good Run - The Legend of Burt Munro" and he has some good ones. You may remember he was the inspiration for the movie "The World's Fastest Indian." 1. "Wow, that thing really took off when you got it into top." Bert: "Top? I was just at the top of 2nd." 2. "There are only two speeds. Flat-out and FASTER!" Love that guy!

It's good to see that you fellas like what I had to say. I was going to put down the Peter Egan quote, but somebody else already got it for me. If I may be so egotistical, this is my canned response when someone asks how fun racing is;
"Racing is the most fun you can have with your clothes on" I'm sure I'll think of 100 better ones later though... Came back here because my RX-8 is getting it's whole transmission replaced (27K miles) and I am feeling a bit naustalgic...

Don't waste another minute waiting on parts, or anything else. Just get out there and start racing! You will suck at first, and you will be slower than many other cars, but the only thing you will regret is not starting earlier... |
