*chuckling*

First, thanks for all the kind words.

However, I don't know that I am " a better driver" than anyone.

They talk about people with natural ability. I am not one of those people. I've worked pretty hard to get where I am...and I still have a LONG way to go.

The day I quit learning is the day that I can't drive anymore.

Remember, there is ALWAYS someone out there smarter and faster than you. It just takes time to find them.

Learn from it, don't resent it.

haha believe me ASP you would win I bet if we raced ;)

anywho icecream I still never said it was ok to spin or runoff, I'm just saying if it DID happen there would be more room. Not go to a roadcourse with a lot of run off room and be a dick lol...there was a Mustang driver who did that at Gingerman this year and he got kicked out. It was race prepped and everything...he spun out 6 times at least lol.

I'm just saying I started out at the drivers class and gradually got faster. I have spun out once, yes, and I DID almost nail a tire wall at the road course (AutoBahn Country Club) but that was from bad judgment. I am trying to learn the line before I go fast just as Asp said ;) That's the way to do it!!! And for me, to learn that, I need to continually run the course a couple laps for me to figure it out...it's even a lot different with temps outside and tire warmth etc. But it's fun as hell :D

With a good line comes more speed. Speed doesn't mean faster all the time. Believe me I took out a Mazda Speed 6 and some other cars at Gingerman ;)

one of the head guys for our scca club up here told me the key to A/X and he said ''to go fast you gotta go slow'' and i took that advice and after every run i drop times, im sure it applies to the track as well, my 1st run i always get a really bad time just so i know where all the turns are and the best way to hit them, so usually by the 2nd heat i got it all right on and can get the speed in, now all i need are some good tires for this weekends a/x which i dun know iif ima go to or not....

It is strange and I have to say that it took me a long time to accept that as ... FACT.

Tires smoking, squealing and general mayhem on the course makes you busier than you should be.

As a result, you lose time.

From a road course perspective, the same is true. If you can be smooth = consistent, then you can establish where to push and where not to be too aggressive.

AX is a great venue for that.
