you don't need to do any shifting...they are slow...you win, don't worry about it, just race her and do it at the track

Everyone thinks that the "OZ Rally" edition is something special, but its really nothing more than a base lancer with a bodykit, OZ wheels and a slightly nicer interior. A friend of mine had one (this was back before I got the Focus) and another friend of ours had a '91 Escort GT...the Escort routinely destroyed the Lancer. Like I said, its nothing special...it just looks nice off the lot but there's no difference between the OZ Rally and a base Lancer besides looks. If it was a manual you might have a bit of a problem...I can remember that car's one redeeming quality was its smooth shifting transmission.

Bingo. Yup yup shift it yourself. The vid I posted is me dropping gears at 7200 rpm, all smooth and all on the climb A little feathering of the peddle once in the band will crush her. However leaving it in D with O/D off will win also just not by as much.
And NEVER underestimate a FEM racer because she is FEM.
Fem's have faster and more consistent RT's than male, and usually weigh less. They also feel they have something to PROVE. I have raced plenty o chicks and been beat by a few. Good example is my wife. Super charged nissan xterra w/NOS. The Mommy-mobile rips its share of people every weekend at the track, and she consistently gets faster times than me in my car as well. Good thing we can't talk about the crying 18 yr olds she leaves at the light....lol......

hahah nice squilly, i say leave it in d with od off and youll win, the dura tranny is very good, shifting yourself will slow your time, i tried autoX with shifting an dleaving in d wth od off an dmy d time was better by 2 seconds, only cuz i could concentrate more on my driving, but do it both ways, after the D win then again with man shifting
