i think you could take him at an autoX or at a track if you push yourself, and do pretty well without messing up, just go for it

depends on the drivers more than anything IMO. suspension work on the ZX3 if u are a good driver you should be able to keep up in turns. How ever Ive driven 2.5i subies and tested them in turns and they handle pretty well. However if the driver is good in turning you should keep up.
