Rightly or wrongly, I tend to break courses up into segments using the straights to get my bearings and adjust. Just couldn't get it to come together this time. BUT, that's why we do this. Continuously improve and take the lessons learned to the next one. We have another AX at the same location in 2 weeks. Every event is another chance at validation and redemption.

DAMN YOU GTI !!! Seriously, I got spanked. John is a GREAT driver and deserves all the kudos coming to him. He started with us 3 years ago having never been to an AX. You hear people talk about natural ability. I don't have it. All of my success (or lack thereof) is based on experience and TRY! Also, don't be too quick to judge a Benz on the street as a slow and ponderous luxury boat.
Jim Smith is driving a 92 190E (2.3 motor) with over 200,000 miles on the odometer. He got me by nearly a second. Respect the Tr-Star.
