Summit Point in the Rain - Big OOPS !
This past Sunday, I left the hospital for a little while after visiting my Dad. He's doing well by the way and comes home tomorrow.
Several of our friends were instructing at the SCCA PDX event. It was POURING rain at the track. That shouldn't be a big surprise for people who spend time there. The main circuit is EXTREMELY slick in the rain and the Lotus below found this out the hard way coming out of turn 10. He put 2 wheels off on the outside of the corner, over corrected and well... Good news is that the driver and the instructor were not injured. I posted the picture not for the morbid factor, but rather I am AMAZED at the structural integrity of the car. There is no roll cage!

Make him an offer.
However, I'm not sure that I would want it after seeing it get rolled right side up. Aluminum doesn't bend, it crinkles. Still, I am amazed that there wasn't more damage.

Woah, he rolled it on the inside of 10? I was expecting some nasty carnage on the outside. Was he 180 when he hooked the two tires on the inside?
