MTX conversion
Been trying to find out if you guys will do an ATX to MTX conversion. If so, how much installed? I am in town.
Or, beefing up my ATX (cheaper than swap?)?

^^ but not nearly as fun as MTX. press the gas and let the car drive for you? No. that is not how i like to drive. i like to drive my own car, not let the car drive itself. mtx all the way

If you do an MTX swap you still have to upgrade some stuff to handle high HP/TQ application once it's in. Might as well beef up the ATX and be ready for high 200's for a little cheaper than a swap.

Got a quote from lentech:
The LSD , bigger input shaft and drum are only included on the " Street Terminator Plus " $3795 The torque converter is a seprate item @ $685 Freight is aprox $365 Quick math everyone: $4845, shipped, not even installed. MTX Swap parts are $1400-1600 on the forums all together. Add Torson LSD $598 Centerforce Clutch kit $210 Quick math again: 1600+598+210 = $2408 Installation is going to be $800-1000 either way So why is beefing up the ATX cheaper? btw... I want to handle 300whp eventually.

because that ATX has a lifetime warrnty and will never break, it's a "bulletproof" transmission as they say. You can't mess it up, there's no ratcheting the gears in an ATX, but a manual, you'll always have maintenance to do as the miles come. Not to mention, if you're going for 300hp+, an ATX is the way to go. Just ask all the MTX cars I destroy at the track all day because they stall at the line, miss a gear, or just can't shift fast enough to keep up :)
Also, if you think an MTX is more fun? just get a manual tune or Lentechs manual control module, it's an MTX without a clutch :P To add to that, Torque converter = constant load, unlike a clutch...What does this mean? Instant spool of your turbo. You can't beat an ATX for the benefits it brings and the limited downsides it has if any.
