ok so im pretty new to rally racing but i wanna get into it. any suggestions on sites to get rally parts?

Well your going to probaly need a different front bumper. The SVT's is pretty low. You'd end up ripping it off. And a Limited Slip Differential would probaly help alot with traction. Also, stiffer shocks and engine mounts.

buy a different car for rally. a cheap all wheel or rear. you'll have more fun and cry less when you crash. not if.. when.

If he is doing AutoX the only thing hes ganna hit is a cone. And the Focus has great handling and is right at home in the twistys. AWD isnt ganna help much, its ganna suck more power thats for sure. and a good awd car that has power = $$$

Depends on what level rallying you want to do. RallyX? ProRally?

First, pick what class you want to compete in. Then from there, you can identify what modifications you are allowed.

As for parts, I would look into Hot-Bits for a coilover suspension with external resevoirs, and a Kaaz clutch-based LSD.

Riiiiiight..... he said rally. not Autox. have you driven a focus flat out on a gravel road? Not that fun imo. however a rear wheel drive car that you can fishtail and powerslide around hairpins etc is good fun and an awd car just glues to the gravel as long as you keep your foot in it. just my opinion having driven all.

Actually front drive car do quite well in rally racing. Rally racing was pretty much the inspiration for the focus chassis. I would say pick up an old GTi and go have some fun.
