It comes with 65w H9 Halogen bulbs. I do not see why you would not be able to install aftermarket HID's into this conversion kit. I believe that you would have to run a 4 ballest system to keep Hi/Low seperate. Also many times when you put aftermarket HID kits in they give a weird light cut-off pattern.
