X-Acto razors. Scrape it off just at the locations of the numbers and the "MPH" and the lines and the gas pump icon and the thermometer icon. Careful not to scrape any red if you want to leave it there.

I used my fingers to pry them off... one on the bottom of the black middle, one on top, stick your fingers in there and pry STRAIGHT off. Not straight may break the gauge itself, resulting in you buying probably a whole new cluster (I doubt ford would sell just the speedo, etc. gauge). Recalibration was a pita tho... http://www.focusfanatics.com/howtos/needlecalibration/

For the gas, I did it a little different. I filled her up to the auto-stop, put the needle in on full. Generally I get 280-320 miles per tank, so i have that as backup. The low fuel light works too, good for about a gallon in my focus.

The speedo is probably much easier with a friend in their car in front of you. I had to do the distance/time method using mile markers on the highway and my watch (noone's here over turkey day break...).

Come to think of it... Theres a whole lot of stuff in this mod where if you oops, there goes 100+ dollars. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone who doesn't trust their hands. But if someone else does do it, post up some pics! I'd like to see a different twist on it, or just see how it looks on someone else's car
